Spotlight on our IT Asset Disposal Services

Our ITAD services have really taken off, and it’s great to see the warehouse so busy as more customers trust us to get the best possible value from their retired IT equipment.

Of course, we know that a fuller warehouse also means a heavier workload behind the scenes. A big thank you to everyone in the warehouse and config teams who've put in the extra effort over the past few weeks, and to those who have stepped out of their day-to-day roles to help out. Your hard work is what keeps everything moving and ensures we continue to deliver for our customers.

WATCH: Here's a reminder of our very own Martin Howell and Andrew Fawcett explaining how our organisation is working towards our net zero carbon goals, as well as how our IT Asset Disposal Services work for our customers.

Latest Wins 🏆

It was a busy period for all three of our sales teams last quarter. Firstly well done to Ed and all collaborators in the win announcement of Leicestershire County Council for their 3-year ITAD contract award, along with winning Cumberland Council for their Samsung phone business... another fishing license in our pockets!

On the End User Compute front, Carl bagged a nice £800K order from Manchester Met Uni, as well as the long worked on £416k refresh from Dudley College. Stuart, who with Andy's support closed out a 5 year HP WXP contract with De Montfort University worth £240K. And continuing to fly the flag for EUC, Carl also landed a hard fought £575,000 AI Lab order from the University of Warwick.

Continuing with the good news, with Sam bringing in £1.5m with orders from the Home Office and University of Oxford, and Jon winning a new Enterprise client for DTP - The Royal Veterinary College. A £500K Dell take out which came from the strength of our relationships with the HPE team in Manchester, who chose DTP as their partner of choice for this opportunity.

Nicely done everyone! 👏👏👏

Meet the Team

Say hello to Will Stones, who joins our Enterprise New Business Sales team!

Will recently joins the team as a Business Development Manager within the Enterprise Sales team. He’ll be driving forward our new business activities; supporting customers with all things Enterprise. Based just across the Pennines in Manchester, some of you will likely see Will at DTP House. He’ll also be spending a chunk of his time with the local HPE teams at their Manchester offices.

With 16 years’ experience in the channel, Will brings a strong background working within both public sector and enterprise sales.

Outside of work, Will is sport mad (mainly football) and often accused by his wife of being prepared to watch anything with a ball. Which Will strongly denies because he also likes watching boxing and darts!

We’re delighted to have you on board, Will - welcome to DTP!

Event Highlights

Event season is well and truly underway, and it’s been an exciting couple of months for the DTP team. We’ve been out and about hosting and sponsoring a number of events - catching up with customers, meeting new faces, and connecting with IT leaders. From across the HE sector at UCISA26, and on our own webinar for the UCISA network to promote our ITAD services and the work we've been doing with Liverpool John Moore's University.

Earlier on in the year, Howard and Andrew Fawcett brought home not one but two new trophies to add to our collection - picking up both HP WXP UK&I Partner of the Year and Andy also bagging the UK&I HP WXP Individual Contributor of the Year. 🥳

Not to mention our Enterprise tech superstar Graham Forrest who was asked to present on stage to 100+ peers at Tech Jam - HPE's global tech enablement event in Vienna. 🤩

We had an incredible day at the ControlUp Beyond Experience EMEA Channel Summit, hosted at the iconic Wembley Stadium - focused on all things DEX with a mix of sales & marketing insight and deep technical sessions, with Cameron and Rav completing a certification along the way!

It's been fantastic to see Howard Hall representing DTP with the Open Cloud Coalition at 10 Downing Street, welcoming the opportunity to engage on how competition in cloud can support investment, growth and AI adoption in the UK.

Last month, we took a group of customers out to HP's Customer Innovation Centre in Sant Cugat in Barcelona to explore what the modern workplace and campus really looks like in practice. Feedback from the HE community has been exceptional!

AND if all that wasn't enough, it's about to get busier!!

These events provide fantastic opportunities to hear first-hand about the challenges and priorities shaping different sectors. To get up to speed with what we have coming up across the business, view our events calendar here (internal use only - please do not share).

We're a clever bunch!

Congrats and thank you to all for their continued efforts and dedication into passing new and updated certifications, so we can continue to deliver a best in class service to our customers. A shout out to...

Darren Mayoh, Mark Neely & Graham Forrest for passing the HPE Product Certification on Morpheus VM Essentials.

Also to Darren on becoming a HPE accredited solution expert (HPE GreenLake Administrator).

Again to Mark for passing both the HPE Accredited Technical Professional - Hybrid Cloud certification and becoming a HPE accredited solution expert (Edge-to-Cloud Architect).

And to David Ingledew who has recently achieved status of MyQ Certified Technical Professional.

"Dhany has just popped in and resolved the issue with the printer, I hadn't met him before but what a lovely guy, very polite and extremely professional and helpful. Thanks very much for your help"

Well done Dhany!

Tom Praise Chat Winner

Tom Thornton

Our EUC Sales team gave a shout out to Tom for for his help with a particular customer order.

It’s always tight timescales with this customer, and we originally thought delivery would be delayed. However, by working closely with our distribution partners, Tom managed to pull it forward to the current week.

Nice work Tom!
